Gerald Jean-Baptiste is a multi-disciplinary creative leader, producer, and program manager who currently serves as the Consumer Production Lead at YouTube Operations. Gerald bridges the gap between technology and the arts through a visionary career dedicated to storytelling, community building, and professional empowerment. 

In this leadership capacity, he manages a diverse team of video editors, animators, and illustrators to produce high-priority video content for the YouTube Viewers channel. His extensive tenure at Alphabet includes serving as an Account Manager for Media and Entertainment, where he managed digital sales and creative partnerships for major accounts such as Netflix and Hulu to drive brand engagement. 

He produced award-winning films like The Choice, authored insightful commentary for 20x200’s "Harlem Street Scene" release, and co-produced Google SoulFest to celebrate the intersections of Black culture and innovation. In addition to his corporate work, Gerald champions professional equity and wellness through his board positions with FYGQ and initiatives like Black Wellness Weekend, which equips Black professionals with culturally adaptive leadership and wellness tools. His career, which also includes significant contributions to Teach For America and the NAACP’s ACT-SO programme, is defined by the core tenets of creativity, innovation, and strategy

His unique approach to creative production is underpinned by a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and a Master’s degree in Arts and Education from Harvard University. An accomplished storyteller, Gerald's work has earned him Best Undergraduate Screenplay and third place overall at the NYU First Run Film Festival for his film, The Choice. This dual foundation in world-class creative training at NYU and education at Harvard informs every aspect of his leadership at YouTube today.
